Northern Comfort Log Homes has emerged out of the boreal forest of Northern Ontario as a handcrafted log home company offering exceptional quality and value. Drawing from their origins of designing and building their own handcrafted log home in 1983, Ronn Hann and Karen Streich founded Northern Comfort Log Homes in order that they might help others enjoy the pleasure of building and living in their own custom-built log home.

Northern Comfort Log Homes specializes in crafting full scribe round log and dovetailed timber homes. From providing advice on the design of your log home to the erection of the company's signature curved strut truss, you will always receive individual attention. This includes Ronn personally selecting the finest red and white pine logs that Northern Ontario's forests have to offer as he is visualizing where each should be placed to best advantage in your log home.

Normally, on each project, the owner serves as the General Contractor. From custom plans, Northern Comfort Log Homes handcrafts the log shell,log floor joists and the log roof support system. The log work is completed in the company's work yard, pressure washed, borate treated and then reassembled on the owner's site. In order to ensure a proper fit that allows for the settling of the logs, Northern Comfort also installs all windows and doors after the roof system has been installed. Throughout the project, attention is given to every detail so that the final result is truly a work of art.
